Last Friday, ShopStyle was kindly invited by Selfridges to attend an evening hosted by Dame Vivienne Westwood about her collaboration with the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF). Held on the Selfridges roof, the event was to highlight the Environmental Justice Foundation's campaign for climate refugees. Dame Vivienne talked passionately about the repercussions of climate change and we thoroughly enjoyed her lively, well-informed and thoughtful talk. She has designed a range of T-shirts exclusively for the Environmental Justice Foundation which can be bought at Selfridges. All profits from the T-shirt will go directly to the EJF charity.
Vivienne was wearing a T-shirt to illustrate the areas of the world that are in danger of the effects of climate change (red areas). She said, "What can one person do? The best and the most important thing you can do is inform yourself. What you think affects your behaviour, affects people, and in the end I hope it affects the government."
