Kate Upton will be smiling at your from newsstands this month as she lands her first ever cover for British Vogue. The star is being hailed as the poster girl for healthy models. Editor Alexandra Shulman explained the choice of Kate saying, "When I decided to shoot Kate for our first cover of 2013, it was to kick off the year with a young woman who is not a stereotypical fashion model – although, let's face it, she's hardly a heffalump!" She added, "It's very rare for a girl ... to move from one area of the business to the other, largely due to the fact that fashion models are almost without curves, whereas swimwear girls are celebrated for them." She was on the cover of Vogue Italia earlier this year, but is yet to land any major fashion campaigns so it will be interesting to see how 2013 works out for her. Would you like to see more models of a similar shape to Kate?
