Topshop Unique is one of the most exciting shows at London Fashion Week, especially this season as, for the first time, it was created under the careful guidance of ex-Vogue editor Kate Phelan. You could tell that Unique had had a fresh injection of talent as the line was slicker and cooler than ever before. Overall, there was a strong military theme with mixed khaki wool coats dominating the show. There were also autumnal reds and chunky knits and cool leather pieces including dungarees which added edge to the collection. Temperley London presented as part of London Fashion Week yesterday. The collection titled 'Renaissance' was presented in a fittingly grand hall complete with chandeliers. The focus was firmly on luxury for Temperley with fur, leather and silk dominating the show. Most of the looks were teamed with fur hats (made from reclaimed furs by Jonny Beardsall) which added to the Russian feel of the show. Alice commented, "I titled my collection Renaissance – not only was I inspired by the sumptuous colours and decadent subjects of the religious paintings and tapestries of the time, but also the meaning of the word; creative reawakening and re-birth." There were some beautiful floor-length dresses produced from draped silk which are sure to make several high profile red carpet appearances, maybe Click through to see photos from the show.
