When we shared this ensemble from the Chanel SS13 show on Facebook, you guys absolutely loved it! It's such an usual handbag design by Karl Lagerfeld that it really caught the attention of the press and the public (with mixed reactions). Earlier this week, Alexa Chung co-hosted US chatshow Anderson Live and she was gifted a personalised version of the bag. We love the classic Chanel 2.55 handbag, but we're not sure about this new design. Do you think you could rock the hula hoop bag?

Alexa Chung stars on the cover of Numero Tokyo this month and used the occasion to announce her latest plans. When asked about designing her own clothing line she cooly replied, "Yes, I’m definitely going to do that. I’m looking into it right now." Alexa has long been a style icon for girls around the world and her style has been copied across the globe so it's no surprised that she's trying her hand at design. She has previously created a collection with US retailer Madewell, but it sounds like her latest design endeavour will be more independent. She added, "I’ve got nothing to lose, it’s a bit of fun. In this current era of celebrity no one believes you actually design the stuff anyway, even though I sketch everything myself. So if it sucks I can say I had nothing to do with it, and if it’s really good I can say ‘Here are the drawings, it’s all my own work!"
We can't wait to see what she designs. Are you interested in a clothing line designed by Alexa? See below to shop pieces inspired by the model turned presenter turned designer!
Alexa Chung hit the red carpet in New York earlier this week rocking a polka dot blouse with high waisted shorts. We love the effortless feel of this look and it's so easy to recreate. She accessorised with court heels to show off her model pins. There are lots of polka dot shirts available now including this Gérard Darel version (£160). You can shop more similar items below.
