Part of the fun of special occasion dressing is the search for the perfect dress! However if you opt for designer that usually means making an investment which can be costly for a one off occasion. So, a simple solution would be to rent a dress enabling you to look like the A-list for a fraction of the price! Friend of ShopStyle Girl Meets Dress have an incredible range of prom and special occasion designer dresses available to rent with new styles arriving regularly. Holding designer names such as Herve Leger, Roland Mouret, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen, it's never been easier to dress like a celebrity! We fell in love with the gold silk blend gown by Diva Sophia as worn by Jessica Alba, which is just (£39) to hire (retail price £250). Coachella officially kicked off at the weekend and we are loving the festival fashion! Alessandra Ambrosio is top of our best dressed list so far, her effortless yet well styled outfit with neon accents made her stand out from the crowd in the best possible way. We liked the way she wore a scarf as a headband, create a similar hairstyle with the Alexander McQueen silk scull scarf (£165) from Selfridges. Alessandra is also bang on trend wearing Ray-Ban mirror aviators (£128), shop the same model from Stylebop. Shorts are still the most popular and practical Coachella outfit choice, shop a similar style to Alessandra's hot pink denim from Anthropologie (£58) along with a wide variety of neon, pastel and distressed denim shorts from Boohoo below.
Our friends at my-wardrobe are calling themselves a 'one stop denim shop' right now and when you see the amount of new-in designer jeans they have on offer we believe it! When it comes to spring jeans, our minds turn to Carrie Bradshaw wearing turned up boyfriend style walking the sunny streets of New York in a pair of killer Jimmy Choos. The good news is this kind of ankle grazer is an on-trend style this season, and of course my-wardrobe have it covered. Check out our favourite Carrie like styles from McQ by Alexander McQueen, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Victoria Beckham. Shop a wide selection of spring denim at my-wardrobe below.
When Mila Kunis attended the premiere of her latest film Oz The Great and Powerful in London she chose to wear the very best of British design, an Alexander McQueen floor length gown. Kunis is known for having a great sense of style especially on the red carpet and we really loved the heavily layered and beautifully romantic strapless dress worn with her hair long and loose. Mila has inspired us to wear this season's on-trend ruffles, so shop a collection of frill and flouncy Alexander McQueen items in our style book below.
Why stop at an opportunity to wear one truly breathtaking gown when you can wear two! Which is exactly why just so many of the stars at the Oscars chose to change their outfits to attend various ultra glamorous after parties. We think it was also the chance to wear the dress they felt most comfortable and themsleves in, which says a lot about the celebs and their real personalities! The belle of the Oscars ball Jennifer Lawrence went from that full skirted Dior dress to a sexy, slinky Calvin Klein number, while Anne Hathaway equally switched up her look from prim and proper pink Prada to sparkly YSL. Fellow Les Mis star Amanda Seyfried changed from her favourite Alexander McQueen to Givenchy however interestingly, although a different colour, the two dress designs remained very similar, with a high neck we're guessing to complement her up-do. Check out the best after party outfits from our favourite Oscar stars below!
If you want to break out of your dreary winter wardrobe by adding a pop of fun colour then we suggest starting with green. Why? Because it's the Pantone colour of 2013 and it's no coincidence many designers have incorporated the colour into their collections. We can't wait to work this essential new season shade starting with the Balmain mid rise skinny jeans (£897). We also love the super cute Chloé zip file medium tote (£182) which will instantly update any outfit with this uber cool colour. Trainers are a bit of an obsession with us, so as soon as we saw the mint Pieces babette trainers (£34) at Zalando, we just knew we had to have them! Step into spring by shopping a few of our green essentials below!
Here's a cool way to keep warm this weekend courtesy of Cara Delevingne! A neon hat will turn heads on the greyest of days and this design from Dimepiece we think would also make the perfect head gear if you're a skier or snowboarder setting off for the slopes! That said, whether you enjoy this very specific kind of 'street' style or not you can still buy into the trend. Neon is big this SS'13, we'll be wearing it with a hot pink Christopher Kane biker jacket (£440) which would clash beautifully with an Alexander McQueen Scarf (£200) from Selfridges. Brighten up your day by shopping a selection of neon essentials below!

You know what they say, wait for one amazing red carpet dress and three come along at once! We are of course talking about the Golden Globes and the truly applaud worthy choice of red carpet and after party style!
Top of our best dressed goes to ShopStyle favourite Amanda Seyfried. Looking beautiful in lace Givenchy, the pretty and pure colour palette looked incredible when standing next to her Les Misérables and Golden Globe winning co-star Anne Hathaway in strapless white Chanel. Jessica Alba looked gorgeously girly in peach Oscar de la Renta accessorised with a Harry Winston diamond necklace worth a cool $5.8 million!
Mirander Kerr in plunging Zuhar Murad and Orlando Bloom in blue Burberry were the hottest couple at the Globes, while Kate Hudson also sent temperatures rising in super sexy, black Alexander McQueen. Girls star Lena Dunham similarly kept it sultry in low-cut Zac Posen. Always dressed to impress, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked red carpet ready wearing Saint Laurent from the SS13 collection. Check out these stars and the rest of the best dressed below!
2012 couldn't have been more of an incredible year for the Duchess of Cambridge aside from the fantastic news of course that she is expecting! The Queen's Diamond Jubilee year itself marked an impressive number of royal engagements for Kate Middleton and of course, outfits. Added to that the London Olympics 2012 of which Kate was given the role as ambassador, made it the year we finally got to know Kate the great! Here are just a few of her style highlights:
