Nineties fashion is back this Spring so why not celebrate the fact by trying on a retro fashion trend like a pair of dungarees! These denim onesies remind us of being young and are a fun way to mix up your weekend wardrobe. Whistles, River Island and Urban Outfitters all have dungarees in their new Spring collections, so there's no excuse not to shop the trend - especially if we look anyway near as fabulous as Lydia Hearst (below). Shop a selection of new season dungarees from Topshop!
Today we were lucky enough to attend the Topshop high summer press day, which gave us a fab first look at their summer collection available in stores from mid April. True to form, the collection was on trend taking direct inspiration from the catwalks. We saw Louis Vuitton like check designs, including dresses and shirts in both pastel and neon brights. Chiffon and sheer fabrics were another key trend on the catwalks which were translated into Topshop's delicate line of feminine and floaty shirts and dresses. Blazers and tailoring are a spring wardrobe staple, choose pastel colours to be teamed with bright bras and bralets in pattern and floral prints. We also noticed a few fun trends come through, such as dungarees and dungaree style dresses. Chunky neon statement jewellery will also be brightening up your look this summer - trust us serious bling is in! Check out just a few key pieces from the Topshop high summer press day below!
It was a beautiful weekend in the UK, and the mild weather looks set to continue. This has got me smiling because it means I can finally start wearing spring pieces! I am so excited for the new season because the latest pieces are so colourful. Boohoo have some cool spring pieces which won't break the bank and will instantly update your wardrobe. Below is my wishlist (although it could have been much longer). I wonder if I could wear palazzo dungarees (£25)? There are some green skinny jeans (£20), a side split maxi skirt (£20) and a green satchel (£20) which are all fighting for my attention. Which is your favourite piece?
Topshop Unique is one of the most exciting shows at London Fashion Week, especially this season as, for the first time, it was created under the careful guidance of ex-Vogue editor Kate Phelan. You could tell that Unique had had a fresh injection of talent as the line was slicker and cooler than ever before. Overall, there was a strong military theme with mixed khaki wool coats dominating the show. There were also autumnal reds and chunky knits and cool leather pieces including dungarees which added edge to the collection.
