Heritage classics get a glamorous makeover this season at Hobbs, where details like tooling, tassels and buckles dress up chic, modern shapes and heels to create a brilliant collection of day-to-night footwear. Choose ankle strap mid-heels, leopard print slippers, patent loafers, metallic brogues or high rise t-bars for trend-driven looks, or keep it classic with lace-up shoe boots or quilted ballet flats.
Those looking to try something a bit more unusual will be happy with the Delphine pump, a pointed flat with three strap reaching up to the ankle, or a pair of block heels with tooled trims for a brogue-inspired finish with a little more panache. Wear them with contrasting tights for the strongest look. For formal occasions, styles from the Invitation line have you covered. Tatiana is a lace-covered court that looks like a designer heel, while Adele puts a 2013 spin on the Mary Jane with a cutout at the ankle.

Kate Middleton once again showed off her prudent side yesterday as she attended a royal engagement with her husband HRH Prince William in a a high street frock. The Hobbs wessex dress was in the sale for £35 but promptly sold out as images of the Duchess of Cambridge appeared online. She teamed it with a woven belt and her signature wedge sandals. Unfortunately her actual dress has sold out, but you can shop similar styles below including this dress by Vivienne Westwood (£200) which we love. Do you like this look on Kate?
