Stella McCartney was recently revealed as Harper's Bazaar's Designer of the Year and appears in this month's edition of the magazine. She gives a frank interview about the pressures of being a working Mother saying, "Honestly, it's not easy and it's silly to pretend that it is." Stella explains that she has been talking about women's rights to her 5 year old daughter Bailey.
"She really didn't understand women had to throw themselves under horses to get the vote, and I hope she doesn't ever have to understand it. But, at the same time, now we are expected to do everything, which probably isn't human, and we are in danger of burning out if we try to do everything."

In the interview, the designer also talked about her part in the London 2012 Olympics. "I did get very involved, mentally as well as physically, and got emotionally drained. So much work went into it, more than I can imagine now." The full interview is in the December issue of Harper's Bazaar which is out now. You can shop Stella McCartney pieces below.
