They say the most natural photographs are the best, so when there's such a high profile and prestigious event like the Oscars, it's always interesting to see Instagram images of the A-list really letting their hair down or with natural smiles for their friends holding the camera! So, we decided to put together a gallery of some of the cutest and most candid Oscar moments. Enjoy!
The Oscars are on Sunday in LA which marks the end of a very long red carpet season! This year all eyes will be on golden girl and Golden Globe winner Jennifer Lawrence. Truly talented and astonishingly beautiful, we can't wait to see what she will be wearing on the red carpet! We are taking an educated guess it will be Dior after Jennifer has just been revealed as the face of their spring campaign. Whatever she chooses to wear, we have no doubt it will be completely fabulous as you will see from our gallery below, Jennifer always shines on the red carpet. Good luck Jennifer!Source: Getty
You know what they say, wait for one amazing red carpet dress and three come along at once! We are of course talking about the Golden Globes and the truly applaud worthy choice of red carpet and after party style!
Top of our best dressed goes to ShopStyle favourite Amanda Seyfried. Looking beautiful in lace Givenchy, the pretty and pure colour palette looked incredible when standing next to her Les Misérables and Golden Globe winning co-star Anne Hathaway in strapless white Chanel. Jessica Alba looked gorgeously girly in peach Oscar de la Renta accessorised with a Harry Winston diamond necklace worth a cool $5.8 million!
Mirander Kerr in plunging Zuhar Murad and Orlando Bloom in blue Burberry were the hottest couple at the Globes, while Kate Hudson also sent temperatures rising in super sexy, black Alexander McQueen. Girls star Lena Dunham similarly kept it sultry in low-cut Zac Posen. Always dressed to impress, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked red carpet ready wearing Saint Laurent from the SS13 collection. Check out these stars and the rest of the best dressed below!
If you grew up in the 90's then you will not be surprised at the fact that we literally screamed with excitement when we heard about the Spice Girls musical Viva Forever, which premiered last night at London's Piccadilly Theatre. Geri, Mel B, Emma and Mel C all showed solidarity at the photo call for the event, whilst a very laid back Victoria showed up fashionably late with her Beckham brood, apparently due to traffic.
All the ladies looked amazing with singer-turned-fashion designer Mrs. Beckham showing us all how to master monochrome in masculine tailoring. We especially loved Geri Halliwell's Princess like gown and Emma Bunton's lace number.
Anne Hathaway's dramatic weight loss for Les Miserables has been discussed at length ahead of the release of the film and last night she showed off her petite figure in Givenchy. She appeared at the world premiere of the movie in London along with fellow stars Amanda Seyfried and Hugh Jackman. Anne chose to wear a Givenchy couture dress with bat sleeves for the occasion which had a slight bridal feel. Are you a fan of this look on her?Source: Getty
Last night the British Fashion Awards took place in London celebrating some of the biggest names in the industry. Stella McCartney was the big name of the night (and the year) as she took home two awards for Best Brand and Designer of the Year. Cara Delevigne was crowned Model of the Year and Alexa Chung won British Style for a second year running whilst Manolo Blahnik was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Other winners included Kim Jones as Menswear Designer of the Year, Nicholas Kirkwood for his gorgeous accessories and Professor Louise Wilson OBE won the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator. Click through to see photos of the winners along with other stars of the red carpet including Princess Beatrice, a heavily pregnant Lily Allen, Jourdan Dunn and Salma Hayek.
Last night the Evening Standard Theatre Awards took place in London and in addition to a star studded red carpet there was also a whole host of big fashion names in attendance. The event was hosted in association with Burberry, but Christopher Bailey wasn't the only designer present. He was joined by Peter Pilotto, Nicholas Kirkwood, and Jonathan Saunders. Celebrities spotted there included Cara Delevigne, Anna Wintour, Colin and Livia Firth, Gemma Arterton and Tinie Tempah. Click through to see photos from the awards.
Girls Aloud had to don their best party frocks last night as they performed at the Royal Variety Performance and met with the Queen herself. The girl band recently announced plans to release a new album and looked very close last night as they wore matching dresses. The black and gold, sequined, strapless dresses are perfect for the party season - we don't know the exact designer but they look very much like the Alexander McQueen jacquard style of dresses which you can shop at Matches. We also love this Brocade Dress (£22) by Fashion Union or Aiden Mattox's Strapless Dress (£277). Shop more embellised dresses below.
The 40th American Music Awards took place last night with a star studded line up. Amongst the arrivals on the red carpet were Heidi Klum, Gwen Stefani in Balmain, Taylor Swift in Zuhair Murad (a popular choice right now) and Nicki Minaj. They were joined by Pink who did an incredible performance. Who do you think deserves to be crowned best dressed?
Kate Moss' first book has been one of the most talked about publications this year. The supermodel has famously kept quiet throughout her career so Kate: The Kate Moss book is a big moment for the fashion industry. Last night, she launched the book with a star studded party where guests included Florence Welch, Stella McCartney, Noel Gallagher, Cara Delevigne and many, many more.
