The beautiful Alessandra Ambrosio looked fantastic wearing on-trend in monochrome while out and about in Los Angeles this week. A self-confessed fan of Isabel Marant, her weekend style is always casual and classic with a modern twist. We love her white jeans with unique single black stripe, shop the Forever 21 stripe skinny jeans (£15.06), which are remarkably similar. We also love Alessandra's quilted biker jacket, check out AllSaints new season leathers, many of which are quilted in design. Shop black and white stripe jeans below.

Monochrome and stripes are two of the hottest trends this SS'13 season, so why not wear them together like the A-list to create the ultimate style statement! Stripes have been seen in so many designer collections including Dolce and Gabbana, Moschino and Acne, so it's no surprise the celebrities are working the trend. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in particular gets style points from us for wearing a fashion forward black and white stripe, wide leg, Chanel jumpsuit to an Oscar party. Shop a wide selection of monochrome stripe dresses and separates from ASOS below!
Top Tip: Vertical stripes help to elongate the body while horizontal stripes accentuate curves.

One trend you are probably aware of by now due to the amount in stores and celebs seen sporting the look is the monochrome trend. Let's face it, black and white looks good on everyone and at any time of year so it's always a great investment and never too soon to start wearing it! On the SS'13 catwalks black and white designs were seen at Jill Sander, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga and Marc Jacobs worn as both seprates and stripes, patterns and florals. One of our favourite ways to wear the look was from Dolce and Gabbana, who proved that simple black and white stripes work just as well in high summer, especially worn as playful shorts accessorized with colourful ethnic earrings. Shop the look from just a few of these designers below.

We think Kristen Stewart looks fab on the cover of February's V Magazine and just like Scarlett Johnasson on the cover of Elle, she is also wearing white Victoria Beckham from her SS13 collection. Victoria confirmed the news via Twitter saying, "Kristen Stewart looking amazing in VB on the cover of @Vmagazine!"
Throughout the 10 page shoot, Kristen wears an on-trend monochrome palette of white vests, shirts and dresses from Victoria Beckham as well as Calvin Klein and Balenciaga. Check out the full V Magazine shoot and recreate some of the looks using similar monochrome styles below.

If you grew up in the 90's then you will not be surprised at the fact that we literally screamed with excitement when we heard about the Spice Girls musical Viva Forever, which premiered last night at London's Piccadilly Theatre. Geri, Mel B, Emma and Mel C all showed solidarity at the photo call for the event, whilst a very laid back Victoria showed up fashionably late with her Beckham brood, apparently due to traffic.
All the ladies looked amazing with singer-turned-fashion designer Mrs. Beckham showing us all how to master monochrome in masculine tailoring. We especially loved Geri Halliwell's Princess like gown and Emma Bunton's lace number.

Promotion for the final Twilight move Breaking Dawn – Part 2 continued this week as Kristen Stewart stepped out in Tokyo. The actress wore a Louis Vuitton black and white checked playsuit for the occasion making her the first start to be spotted in an item from the collection. She wore the playsuit with black strappy sandals. Monochrome check is sure to be a key trend for next season, but why not get ahead of the game and invest now? We love this Marni checked coat (£939) and Minkpink's domino cardigan (£85). You can shop more black and white pieces below.
