Okay so you know where we are going with this one. We are of course talking about low back dresses. The kind of design that's a superbly sexy yet still sophisticated way to reveal some skin. Anne Hathaway's pink Prada Oscars dress looked quite prim and proper from the front, but as soon as she turned around, the cross over straps and ribbon detail at her lower back was quite the pièce de résistance of her dress design. Rita Ora opted for something very similar in peach at the Birts. For the best selection of sexy back dresses, shop the look at Nelly below!
London is the only place to be right now thanks to an incredible fashion week and last night, the Brits! The red carpet was filled with the very best of British rock and pop to celebrate the biggest night in UK music. Rita Ora dressed to impress in peach couture by Ulyana Sergeenko, while Jessie J changed up her look by wearing more minimal make-up with a plunging Versace gown. But despite the glamorous turnout, it was actually US star Taylor Swift who stole the show, taking to the stage to perform 'I knew you were trouble', wearing what looked like a white wedding dress before taking it off to reveal a sexy corset style playsuit. We thought she looked fab and it's not only us. Her ex, One Direction's Harry Styles (who the song is said to be written about) reportedly told the press: "I thought she looked great!" Check out the rest of the Brits best dressed below!
Karl Lagerfeld courted media attention today not just because of the positive reaction to his outstanding SS'13 Chanel Couture show in Paris yesterday but because it also featured two brides walking hand in hand together as a declaration of support for marriage equality. One of the brides in question was current UK Vogue cover girl Kati Nescher and the adorable page boy who accompanied the brides down the isle was actually Lagerfeld's Godson. The show itself had a generous celebrity turn out including Diane Kruger, Rita Ora and Laura Bailey. The collection itself was a crowd pleasing blend of embellished chiffon and lace dresses, floral painted print dresses along with more traditional Chanel style blazer suits. Check out the amazing collection in our gallery below.
Last night the British Fashion Awards took place in London celebrating some of the biggest names in the industry. Stella McCartney was the big name of the night (and the year) as she took home two awards for Best Brand and Designer of the Year. Cara Delevigne was crowned Model of the Year and Alexa Chung won British Style for a second year running whilst Manolo Blahnik was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award. Other winners included Kim Jones as Menswear Designer of the Year, Nicholas Kirkwood for his gorgeous accessories and Professor Louise Wilson OBE won the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator. Click through to see photos of the winners along with other stars of the red carpet including Princess Beatrice, a heavily pregnant Lily Allen, Jourdan Dunn and Salma Hayek.
Traditionally padded jackets have been a ski slope staple, but why reserve that level of warmth for just a couple of weeks a year?! Celebrities have been embracing the puffa jacket recently including Rita Ora who stepped out in a graphic printed style like this one by Peter Pilotto. We love a classic Moncler jacket (£612) or Vero Moda's more affordable option (£18). You can shop more padded jackets below.
Frankfurt attracted a whole host of celebs last night as the German city played host to the 2012 MTV EMAs. The red carpet was packed with gorgeous ensembles (you can vote for your best dressed here) including these two dramatic looks. Rita Ora looked gorgeous in a red Marchesa dress with a voluminous skirt and embroidered detailing. Kim Kardashian went for something a little bit more revealing and just as dramatic. She launched her collaboration with Dorothy Perkins in London last week and then flew over to Germany to wow in this asymmetric Stephane Rolland number. You can shop asymetric dresses and dramatic gowns below.
It's never been easier to dress for Halloween! This season, the shops are full of gothic inspired pieces along with plenty of kooky accessories. Cat ears and horns are adorning headbands everywhere and are this season considered a reasonable accessory to continue wearing after Halloween. Lena Dunham rocked some pearl studded ears in her recent ASOS shoot and Rita Ora looked awesome in Maison Michel cat ears for GQ. We love Topshop's cat fascinator (£8) and skull nail wraps (£7). You can shop more Halloween accessories below!
Going out tonight? Looking for something to update your trusty LBD, or to add a little glam factor to your dressy top and denim combo? With all the statement necklaces on the runway and high street, there are so many options to choose from. We just love how our favourite celebrities have styled them. Pair your bronze chains and rose gold jewels with a chiffon or silk button-up shirt like Kim, Sophia Bush and Millie Mackintosh. With pared down make-up and fuss-free hair, their necklaces take centre-stage. If you prefer a little more sparkle, we suggest pearls or crystals. Team with jewelled earrings for a layered luxe look worthy of Rita Ora and Jessica Biel, or create some contrast by mixing a casual ensemble with an interesting diamond accessory á la ShopStyle favourite Olivia Palermo.
The X Factor auditions continued in London yesterday with regular judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh. They were also joined by guest judge Rita Ora. Tulisa rocked a summer dress for the occasion adding edge with studded boots and belt, whilst Rita went for a white dress and blazer combo with chunky tartan wedges. Out of these two looks, which do you like best?
