Metallic is everywhere this SS'13 season! Metallic fabrics by nature look incredibly luxurious which is why they appear in so many designer collections. For spring, choose colourful metallics in peach, brown, blue and grey from designers such as Stella McCartney, Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain and Balenciaga. Metallic fabrics will also beautifully highlight a tan as Blake Lively demonstrates below. A lighter metallic like Blake's sensational silver Chanel evening gown also makes a great choice for a wedding if you're a guest or the bride! Shop a design close to Blake's by Rachel Comey (£549.77) and browse our favourite metallic evening dresses from Farfetch below.
You know that feeling, when you see a collection and you want it all. And when that collection is from the high street? The good news is you can! Or at least invest in a few favourite pieces anyway. We will be doing exactly that because after an exclusive preview of the Miss Selfridge SS13 collection, we left with a seriously long wish-list. A gasp inducing medley of floaty, on-trend chiffon and delicately beaded dresses, the kind you could easily see an A-list actress accepting an Oscar in, we were seriously impressed. And the good news is these pieces have amazing wearability, trophy items which could be worn to a wedding on a beach, one particular dress we would even wear as a bride! Browse the Miss Selfridge Hollywood glam meets Ibiza beach collection available from April, below.
Anne Hathaway stars on the cover of this month's US Vogue. Inside, the actress reveals her wedding dress which was designed by the house of Valentino. The dress has a hint of pink at the bottom, but isn't as brightly coloured as Jessica Biel's bridal gown. Anne cut her hair for her role in Les Mis and decided to keep it, “I feel prettier, and much more myself.” You can shop Valentino dresses below.
Blake got married in a Marchesa dress and although we're yet to see any photos, the designer duo Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig have spoken a bit about the gown. "Blake is incredibly stylish, and she really knew what she wanted. It was very much how we do a lot of brides. We started with a lot of sketches, and we sat down and talked through the sketches until we came to the final dress…she just wanted it to be romantic and beautiful."
Martha Stewart helped Blake organise the wedding so it makes sense for her to print the photos. She commented on the big day, "[It was a] charming, charming wedding. Real people, real love. Just really nice and personal." We can't wait to see the photos! Are you intrigued to see what her dress was like?

Earlier this year, the bridal catwalks were awash with new shades of wedding dresses. This means you no longer have to stick to the traditional ivory palette and could instead opt to get married in a black dress. Everyone knows that black is a more flattering shade, but it would also alter the mood and theme of your big day. We're intrigued, would you get married in black? If so, you can shop wedding dresses in this shade below.
For men, dressing for wedding season can become increasingly frustrating. You seem to end up wearing the same suit to every formal event throughout the summer and it can be difficult to create a unique look. This summer, there are a lot of grey suits available which may not be groundbreaking, but could give you enough of an edge to stand out. Mr. Start's grey double breasted suit (£695) is stylish and timeless. If double breasted isn't your style, then how about a classic three piece style(£795)? This would surely be worth the investment. You can shop more grey suits below.
